A Tour Around our Mid August Garden

           Happy Weekend!

                                                                         I can't believe it is the middle of
                                                                         August already!
                                                                          We have had a lot of hot sunny days
                                                                       through out July and early August but
                                                                       lately we have had some good rains to
                                                                      keep our garden green.

            The double hollyhocks are

 still blooming.

                                                               I love this color /plant combo
                                                              phlox,beebalm and a garden loosestrife.

Clematis

                                                              I like to have a few dahlias in the garden
                                                              for bouquets since they bloom until
                                                             frost.

                                                                        This is the only oriental lily left in our
                                                                        garden since the arrival of the lily beetle
                                                                        about 10 years ago..I love the fragrance!
