Situated in the municipality of Porto, College Cebes is a new and dynamic private secondary school. Boasting a modern day modern style and residential architecture characteristics, the fresh structure was created to blend with the surrounding atmosphere and the architectural style of the single-loved ones luxury properties situated nearby. Here’s what the architects responsible with the project have to say about their project and its connection with the neighbourhood’s identity: “
We keep extremely distinctive identity on Avenue Marechal Gomes da Costa (the surrounding characterised by this avenue, with an urban character of low density allows effortless access to significant highways and ensures stability of the developing pattern of the location), and designed a proposal for a volume that integrates elements of well-known architecture.
Comprising a cafeteria, kitchen, staff room, waiting area, facilities for employees, students and teachers in the basement, 5 classrooms and toilets at the ground floor and a series of other 5 classrooms on the 1st floor, the college provides adequate space for educational activities. Inside, the dominant colour is white, enhancing the feeling of space. Windows are massive enabling the natural sunlight to flood the interior. Many places of study, libraries or multipurpose rooms, as well as shower facilities are also integrated in the new college plan.
