This elegant and breezy residence completed by Arquitectura en Estudio in Villeta (25 km away from Bogotá, the capital of Colombia) blurs the lines among the interior and the exterior. Design was influenced mainly by the surrounding internet site (the lush vegetation of the mountains) and the ever-present warm climate. Funny point, the house has no windows or doors, only a cautiously knit timber screen, which can totally open or close at will (adding a sense of privacy). The interior comprises a widely spread living-dinning-kitchen region, 4 bedrooms and a number of bathrooms. The living space location, connected to the swimming pool and the decks, spills into the landscape. The views are absolutely breathtaking and inspiring, particularly at dawn, when the striking colours of the early morning generate a strong contrast.
Due to its many cutouts and openings, the property is permitted “to breathe”. Here and there, round metal columns support the horizontal concrete slabs, in other words, the common structural elements of this contemporary residence. The maze of greenery encompasses it, creating the best relaxation nook, a shelter for your senses. A dream and fresh property in each sense of the word. [Photo credit: David Uribe].
